But this rule has another rule implicitly: Not your boyfriend may be someone who is not your first best friend, but not necessarily your best friend should be your boyfriend! ... These engagements are wrong.

The misinterpretation of this phrase has become over life, great friends in lousy couple (man and woman, of course). As friends had all, had confidence, respect, mutually supportive, they understood and loved. But these good friends, going to be lovers, strangers rights acquired before and friends were not required.
